MurphyCatton, Inc. is celebrating over twenty-five years of developing, engineering and fabricating custom exhibitions. Located in Walton, Kentucky, only twenty-five minutes from Cincinnati, our markets extend from environmental graphics, tradeshow booths and displays, aquariums and zoos, to children’s museums and history museums.
Our two principals, Mike Murphy and Mark Catton, founded MurphyCatton, Inc. in November 1983. Mike Murphy graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a philosophy degree and has a background in traditional cabinet making, while Mark Catton graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a theatre arts degree and has a background in working with theatre and opera companies. As a result of their diverse backgrounds, Mike and Mark created a company with a strong focus on both quality craftsmanship and the artistic, theatrical and dynamic elements required of museum, environmental and experiential exhibits. MurphyCatton, Inc.’s mission is to fabricate dynamic, innovative and customized solutions of supplied designs or create turnkey design/build solutions, as requested.
With over 30 full time employees, the abilities of our staff include engineering, sculpting, scenic artists and craftsmen. Our 65,000 square foot shop features CAD-CAM capabilities, a complete cabinet making shop (including veneering capabilities), a machine and welding shop, and capabilities with the fabrication of interactives. We also have a state-of-the-art finish/spray operation expert in the application of acrylics, lacquers catalyzed enamels and fine wood finishes.
